Gruuvr operates as a service provider under the safe harbour provisions of 17 U.S.C. § 512. We host user-uploaded content and are not responsible for what users upload, but we take copyright complaints seriously and act on valid notices.

1. How to submit a takedown notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, email hello@gruuvr.com with the subject line DMCA Notice. Your notice must include all of the following:

Notices that are missing required information may not be actioned. We will notify the uploader when content is removed in response to a DMCA notice.

2. Counter-notice process

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to hello@gruuvr.com (subject: DMCA Counter-Notice). Your counter-notice must include:

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. Content may be reinstated after 10–14 business days if the complainant does not initiate legal action.

3. Repeat infringer policy

Gruuvr has a strict repeat infringer policy. Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright complaints will be subject to escalating action, up to and including permanent termination. We maintain records of all DMCA notices and take patterns of infringement seriously.

Warning: false claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing (or that it was removed by mistake) may be liable for damages, costs, and attorney's fees. Please only file a notice if you have a genuine, good-faith belief that your rights have been violated.
